Orientation for incoming grads is organized by the Department of English and its various partners. EGO’s participation in orientation supplements this orientation with helpful panels and events intended to provide students with an inside eye into life as a UF English grad.
EGO sponsored orientation events include:
“What Are You Working On?” roundtable
“What I Wish I Had Known” roundtable
The purpose of these roundtables is to introduce incoming PhD and MFA students to the work and research interests of their peers, and to offer them advice on how to balance their teaching and scholarship with life outside campus. MFA and PhD students representing all years, as well as all research and creative interests, participate in these roundtables in order to provide incoming students with an idea of what they can expect as they move through their respective programs.
Once available, a full orientation schedule will be posted here.
